With the launch of its own colour palette across its range of wall and roofing insulated panels Kingspan Insulated Panels has established a distinct point of difference in the cladding market.
“The Kingspan Collection not only delivers our customers a compelling alternative in a bold and enticing palette of inspired colours, but it also provides customers with flexibility and sustainability”, said Kingspan’s National Marketing Manager, Helen Flood.
“In formulating the new collection Kingspan went directly to architects and decided on the colour palette range according to the architects’ needs across a diverse range of climates and applications. The colours had to be right but the architects reminded us that the finishes had to be able to perform in a multitude of environments”, said Ms Flood.
The colour palette is designed in accordance with Kingspan’s global sustainability objectives, with the new range guaranteed for up to 15 years on walls and 25 years on roofs. The flexibility comes with short production lead times.
“This new range combines European technology with locally sourced pre-painted steel. We are able to deliver a product with a high level of UV protection, corrosion resistance and colour retention which is required to withstand the diverse Australasian climate”, said Ms Flood.
“The paint technologies are used to suit the application and the surrounding environment, have excellent colour retention and resistance to chalking and fading, enhanced corrosion resistance, and are recyclable”, Ms Flood said.
This new palette presents a collection of shades from subtle pastels to vibrant primary colours. The wide variety of colours provides many design possibilities using either individual colour selections or a combination of complimentary colours.
The palette is inspired by four contrasting, well-known international artists and the four ranges are designed to fit all applications and environments. The range includes:
Barnett - inspired by American exponent of abstract expressionism Barnett Newman, this standard range is suitable for roof and wall applications in standard, non-corrosive environments.
Josef - inspired by German-born American artist Josef Albers, renowned for his use of intense colour, the high performance range is suited to roof and wall, corrosion resistance and overall durability. It’s ideally suited for marine and harsh industrial environments.
Ellsworth - inspired by another American painter and sculptor Ellsworth Kelly, renowned for Hard-Edge painting, Colour Field and the minimalist school, the metallic range is again suited to wall and roof and the colours are ideal for either benign or industrial environments.
Piet - inspired by Dutch born artist Piet Mondriaan, an advocate of pure abstraction reducing painting to pure form and colour, this range is designed for walls only and provides a vibrant selection of colours.
